New Brand Review: Arbonne (skincare line)

Hello everyone!

Does anyone like the smell of Orange and Poppyseed Muffins? I do. At one stage throughout my teenage years I went through a phase, very characteristically of my diagnosis of 'Im-a-teenager-so-I'm-going-to-go-through-1000-phases-that-my-parents-can't-keep-up-with' phase... (Seriously guys I tried pink streaks in my hair, wore black Supre leggings with black ballet flats everyday, became seriously concerned about the planet; to the point of being a full-vegetarian for 5 years... all that stuff). Back to the point. I was in a phase of buying an Orange and Poppyseed Muffin every time I went to a cafe that had one. FYI I don't like cakes! Creamy/ chocolately/ cheesecakey/ anything! So this was a big deal. And I loved them! But does anyone know why muffins are always so big? I could never finish a whole muffin! Why not make smaller ones and sell them cheaper so people don't leave half a perfectly good muffin on their plate when there are people in the world without any food? ... Social responsibility meter reading= off the scales.

The point? I love the smell of Orange and Poppyseed Muffins! I could have just answered my question (the first sentence) and moved on. But, not my style.

Now there is a skincare range that smells just like Orange and Poppyseed Muffins. Introducing Arbonne.

I am so excited to tell you about the Arbonne RE9 Advanced skincare range beacuse it is the most perfect and complete skincare system that I have ever used in my life, that actually abides to my standards of a good product. Let me explain. First of all why it smells like O&P Muffins; because the skincare line is largely formulated from Vitamin C, which if you didn't know, is fantastic for your skin's natural repairing and rejuvenating process. Additionally to this, RE9 contains none of the following nasties:
- Mineral Oil (Responsible for our generation having older looking skin than our grandparents. ... Because mineral oil, like baby oil or tanning oil, fries your skin when combined with sun. Hello wrinkles! Most products on the market today contain mineral oil and we unknowingly expose our skin to this damage every day).
- Petroleum
- Formaldehyde
- Parabens
- Animal Products (totally Vegan)
- Chemical fragrances
- Wax
- Acetone

The products are all very clean and pure, containing lots of natural ingredients and botanicals, so you know you are giving your skin a nutritious meal if you will, when you use Arbonne.

I tried and loved the entire Arbonne RE9 skincare line and honestly recommend every single product. But, for a uni girl on a budget, like me, these were my top favourite products from the range.

1. Nourishing Body Wash- as a girl with very sensitive skin, it is very hard for me to find a nice body wash that doesn't dry out or irritate my skin. But this product is a hands down winner. Never before have I experienced a body wash that was so moisturising and luxurious. Most body washes are clear and a gel-like consistency that strips your skin of its natural oils and dries you out. whereas this one is like a cream that you would expect to use as a facial moisturiser and I think thats the secret. Rather than save that heavy-duty moisturiser for facial products only, Arbonne uses them in their body wash too. And you are left smelling like muffins!

2. Extra Moisture Restorative Day Cream- again, I have very sensitive and dry skin. The intensity of this moisturiser is one of the only products I have found that is absorbent enough to combat my dry skin (particularly in the T-zone) and last all day without flakes of foundation forming by lunch time.

3. Soothing Facial Cleanser- This cleanser is exfoliating but gentle enough to use every day because it also contains highly active moisturising properties. I love this cleanser. My face feels clean afterwards but not stripped bare to the point it hurts or feels scratchy, dried out and shiny. I honestly love this cleanser and I will definitely be purchasing it on a regular basis.

4. Reactivating Body Serum- This is used before moisturiser on your body to help kickstart your body's natural process of rejuvenation and repair. I found this product particularly beneficial after shaving to help restore the natural oils I just rubbed away. Serums carry an amount of scepticism in their small and pricey jars, but this one is worth it. I have tried and tested so many serums, even one for sensitive skin that left me with a face full of eczema! But I am a true believer that their is a point to every new beauty product that comes onto the market other than cracking a new stockpile. One worked and did whatever it claimed to do and thats how it made it into our stores. This is one of them.

So give these products a go. I promise you that you will not be disappointed.
